The Broader Picture

Supplementation is not a substitute for other sustainability measures, but it complements them. An operation using solar energy, recycling water, and implementing waste management programs can further reduce its environmental footprint through strategic feed supplementation.

The economics work in favor of sustainability. Every supplement that improves feed efficiency reduces both costs and environmental impact. There is no trade-off between profitability and sustainability in this case.
